A function was held recently to make a presentation to former Sinn Féin Dundalk Town Councillor, Geraldine Murphy who resigned her seat on the council for personal reasons. Geraldine was replaced on the council by Harry Todd and a presentation was made to her at a function last weekend in appreciation of the four years she served as a councillor. Pat McVeigh, chairperson of Louth Sinn Féin Comhairle Ceantair making the presentation thanked Geraldine for her service to the community and the Sinn Féin party. Geraldine continues to be involved with the party and holds the position of secretary of her local cumann, the Worthington Watters / Gerry Halpenny Cumann. The function was attended by all Sinn Féin elected represenatatives, party members and family and friends.
